‘[coding,, holding]: knowing/not-knowing: a speculative creative-critical encounter’

In this seminar, Linda Kemp will present a practice-led creative enquiry investigating the notion of ‘coding’. The talk will explore instances of coding as a method to understand lived experience in the world, and considers poetry as an interruption to these constructs. What does coding do with language, and what does language do with coding?

Linda Kemp’s publications include Lease Prise Redux (Materials, 2016) and an album speaking towards (2015). They run and edit the experimental poetry press Enjoy Your Homes Press.

Before the seminar this Thursday, we spoke to Linda about what coding is and the importance of language. The seminar will take place on Thursday 26th April, 6pm, at University Campus Trent Building A21.
